Today I would like to talk about my favorite park, Garfield Park in South Pasadena.
I love going for a walk. Walking is great not only for our physical health but also mental health. Whenever I have frustration or I feel like my brain has stopped working, I go for a walk and my little concerns become lighter.
One of my favorite places to go for a walk is this Garfield Park. Unlike many other parks in Los Angeles, this park is filled with green lawns and beautiful trees. I often see people lying on the lawn chatting or reading books.
Almost every Saturday and Sunday, I see some people celebrating birthdays and many families are having picnics. I also have had a picnic with my good friends here a couple of times and it was wonderful to eat lunch outside with fresh air and beautiful sunshine.
I also often see people come here with their dogs and the dogs are playing with each other. I love dogs and cats, and when I have a dog and a cat in the future, I will definitely take them here though a cat may not like it so much. I cannot imagine Mugichan would like walking in a park.
It feels like time passes very slowly at this park…
I have heard that there are some music concerts in summer at Garfield Park so I’m looking forward to it, too!
